Classical Five Element Acupuncture is a healing art and science. As trained practitioners, we are taught to use diagnostic tools, which help to see the entire person and their bodymindspirit. Each element, or season, as commonly compared is within each of us. However, there is one season, which dominates both our virtues, and our imbalances. As a Five Element acupuncturist, I am trained to diagnose which element is the dominant one in you. I do this with various clinical techniques in your medical examination.

I often liken this to an analogy: “A mother has two children with whom she hopes the best for. How she raises them may need to be very different in order to obtain the same optimum results”. She does not accomplish this by a recipe, but rather an inherent understanding of each of their needs and constitutions, and by applying the techniques, which encourage only the best in each of them.

In classical acupuncture, we do not look at the symptoms as the leading drive towards treatment. Instead, we seek to restore your health by bringing you back to the virtues of your element on all levels of the physical, emotional ad spiritual. The beauty in the medicine is restoring you to “your old self” again!
